About Us
Florida Drone Force was founded in 2025-2026 by Gary Gross after visiting Sanibel Island following the damage hurricane Ian caused when it struck in 2022. Florida has 1200 miles of shoreline! Our immediate need is to raise money to purchase specialized equipment to outfit as many of our district storage units as we can before the next natural disaster strikes. Additionally, we are actively recruiting drone pilots both FAA part 107 certified and those that aren’t but may be working towards it.

Gary Gross, President Florida Drone Force, Inc.
Gary is a 32 year resident of Florida. He is a licensed Commercial Drone pilot with a Private Pilot license along with a B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. His engineering and management experience includes serving as a student representative on the Embry-Riddle Board of Directors, membership on the Florida Special Olympics Board of Directors, and leading a team assembling the first Space Shuttle boosters at Kennedy Space Center. He then spent 32 years with Pratt & Whitney, retiring as the International Discipline Chief for Military Engines.
Michael Parrish, Vice President of Operations
Michael Parrish is a retired aerospace and technology executive with more than 40 years of experience at Lockheed Martin, where he led complex technical programs and concluded his career as a Director in the Missiles and Fire Control division. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from University of Central Florida and an M.S. in Computer Science from Florida Institute of Technology. A lifelong Floridian and accomplished aviator with multiple FAA ratings, including Drone pilot part 107, Michael brings a practical, resilient perspective shaped by decades of leadership and real-world experience.
Barbara Parrish, Director of Fund Raising
Barbara Parrish CEO of Barb Parrish homes is a realtor and real estate investor. A long term florida resident of 46 years who holds a a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Central Florida and a Masters of Engineering Degree from Florida Institute of Technology.
Lu Milliken, Vice President of Development
Lu Milliken is a Real Estate Investor and Business Manager with extensive experience in the construction industry. Lu has successfully managed a wide range of projects including natural disaster restoration and property rehabilitation. Known for strong leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on project management.
