Florida Drone Force Disaster Strategy.
When the Florida Division of Emergency Management calls us with an emergency need, we will respond with the closest "squadron" and the prepositioned equipment. We are self-sufficient, with everything needed—from tables and chairs to satellite internet Wi-Fi. We will have equipment capable of real-time video and infrared search to locate victims, day or night.
- --The GPS coordinates where emergency help is needed
- --Real-time video of damage to bridges, roads, power lines, etc.
- --High-lift drones to deliver life jackets, water, MREs, first aid, prescriptions, etc.
The Squadrons
Squadrons (clubs) of volunteer FAA certified remote pilots are set up along with pre-positioned storage units in each of the districts as defined by Florida Division of Emergency Management.
Support Equipment
The storage units contain high tech rescue and support delivery drones with all the needed support equipment such as battery banks, generators, and satellite wi-fi systems for communicating with the drones. .
Pilot Meetings
Squadrons will host drone meets to hone their skills review and recommend review and recommend the best equipment for our use.
The Florida Drone Force will utilize the Florida Emergency Management Area Map to coordinate rescue efforts across Florida disaster locations.
